Connect With Us
A huge benefit of worship in a church is the ability to join group to grow and serve with. Here at FBC Kerens we have a variety of groups for you to join.
Children (Infants – 5th grade)
At FBC Kerens, we love children! And we love teaching them about God and His Word.
Our Children’s Ministry actively partners with parents to encourage families to make a whole life commitment to Jesus Christ. We seek to engage each child in a fun and creative age-appropriate program that helps build a strong spiritual foundation. We invite your child to be part of our ministry on Sundays, throughout the week, and at special events during the year!

The What’s in the Bible? curriculum is a 52-week program that teaches children all the way through the Bible – Genesis to Revelation. The program was created by VeggieTales® creator Phil Vischer and includes 13 different volumes, each of which contains 4 weeks of customizable lessons. Each week is broken down into 4 small group sessions, giving children the opportunity to get to know each other and establish relationships with peers all while learning the Word of God. Each lesson is accompanied by an engaging activity, such as a game, a craft, or music (or a combination of all!) Every Wednesday, we will begin with a whole group meeting and prayer, followed by a review of the previous week’s lesson and the main lesson for the week. We will also provide Going Home Cards at the end of the lessons to give parents the opportunity to ask their children what they’ve learned that week! We are so excited about this new curriculum and pray that your child can join us on this journey through the Bible!
Nursery Available
The Nursery provides loving care for infants and toddlers (birth–4 year olds). Parents can drop off little ones and attend the service with peace of mind. We see the Nursery as a child’s first step toward a relationship with Christ. As infants and toddlers learn to trust those who take care of them, their hearts prepare to have faith in God, who loves and cares for them.

Women’s Missionary Union- WMU
What is WMU all about?
Women’s Missionary Union is reaching out to help the lost and the needy in our community.
We strive to be salt and light in a dark world by sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ through:
  • volunteering and supporting the Victim’s Center in Kerens
  • providing witnessing training
  • maintaining a clothes closet and a food pantry
  • participating in Project Christmas Child as well as an Angel Tree for local children
  • sponsoring a Christmas Store for residents at our local nursing home
  • passing out Thanksgiving baskets and
  • distributing school supplies in August to elementary age children.
We want to add a prison ministry, a continuing witnessing program and a prayer group to our existing outreach ministries.  It is the activity of the Holy Spirit that directs our footsteps.
Come join us as we obediently seek the leadership of the Holy Spirit to show us His plans for reaching the lost for Jesus.
We meet every 2nd Sunday 3:30pm in the education building
